Miller/Wenhold Capitol Strategies announced today that CEO Paul Miller has been appointed by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe (D) to serve on the Virginia Small Business Commission.
“This truly is an honor for me,” stated Paul Miller, adding, “At Miller/Wenhold we have long prided ourselves on working across the aisle to achieve success for our clients and that is why I appreciate the Governor reaching across the aisle and appointing me to this position.”
The goals of the Virginia Small Business Commission are to study, report, and make recommendations on issues of concern to small businesses in the Commonwealth.
The Commission is made up of members of the Virginia Senate, House of delegates, and the general public. Paul Miller’s term will run from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2016.
Paul has spent the past 20 years representing small businesses and in 2010 took that experience and formed the Virginia Small Business Partnership, which is an opportunity to bring lawmakers and policy experts together with small business leaders from across the Commonwealth to discuss ways to improve the Virginia small business environment.
“This appointment is an opportunity for me to work with the Governor and Commission on ways we can grow small business opportunities here in the Commonwealth,” added Miller.
Miller/Wenhold Capitol Strategies is a grassroots and government affairs firm based in Fairfax, Virginia focused on small business issues and providing small businesses with the voice they need in Washington to be successful.
